Your music and settings
The Android app stores your imported scores, categories and preferences on your device. It does not upload your scores, photos or recordings to VAMIT. Android imports supported BWW/BMW, MusicXML/MXL and MIDI files locally. PDF and photo recognition is not available inside the Android app. No VAMIT account is required. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes its local library and settings; files you exported elsewhere remain there.
Optional age group for advertising
You may choose an age group in Settings > Age group for ads, or continue without answering. The app stores only the selected group and whether the question has been answered on your device. It does not ask for or store your date of birth, create an account, or upload the age choice to VAMIT or a cloud database. These two local settings remain until you change them, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
If your age group is unknown, under 13, or "Prefer not to say", the app does not request ads, start advertising consent requests, or explicitly initialise the advertising SDK. For ages 13–15, advertising requests use Google's CHILD age-restricted treatment, the consent system is told that the user is under the age of consent, and publisher personalisation is disabled. For ages 16–17, requests use Google's TEEN treatment, publisher personalisation is disabled, and applicable consent choices are offered. For ages 18 and over, applicable Google UMP consent choices are offered. All age groups eligible for ads use Google's G maximum ad content rating; this limits requested ad content and is not the app's store age rating. The app communicates these advertising safeguards to Google when the relevant advertising or consent requests are made; it does not send your date of birth or the locally stored answer flag.
All lessons, built-in music, local music imports and both players remain free and available without an age answer or subscription. You can change your age group in Settings at any time. An age choice is used for advertising safeguards, not to unlock music features.
Advertising
The free version uses Google AdMob. Subject to applicable consent choices, Google's advertising SDK processes device and account identifiers, IP address (which can indicate approximate location), app/ad interactions and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Advertising data is encrypted in transit. It is not the same as your score library, which remains local. Google may process data outside your country under its privacy safeguards. Google's privacy policy and retention information are available at Google privacy policy and Google advertising information.
For an eligible age group, an advertising consent form explains your choices before ads are requested where required. You can revisit available choices using Settings > Ad privacy. Declining personalised advertising does not prevent use of the music players. Depending on your age group, choices and region, limited or non-personalised ads may still be shown. Premium removes banner and full-screen advertisements while Google Play confirms an active subscription. No advertisements are requested while subscription status is unknown.
Premium and Google Play
Google Play handles your subscription, payment details, cancellation and refunds under its terms and privacy policy. The app checks Google Play purchase records and signatures to determine Premium access and acknowledge purchases. VAMIT does not receive your card details through the app. Manage or cancel in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions. Premium renews monthly unless cancelled. Cancellation normally preserves access until the end of the paid period. Google Play displays the final local price before purchase.
Feedback
Feedback opens your own email app addressed to support@vamit.net. You decide whether to send. If sent, VAMIT receives your email address, message and anything you attach, so it can reply outside the app. Do not send passwords, payment information or sensitive personal information. A timestamp on your device limits the in-app feedback shortcut to once every seven days; it is not a central account limit. Support correspondence is handled for responding to your request and any necessary follow-up; contact support to request deletion of correspondence that is no longer needed.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information held by VAMIT, and exercise applicable objection, restriction and portability rights, by emailing support@vamit.net. Consent can be withdrawn through the available ad privacy choices without affecting prior lawful processing. Google and your email provider have their own processes for data they control. You may complain to your local data protection authority, including the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Belgian Data Protection Authority).
The app does not request precise location, contacts, microphone or camera access. This policy covers the native Android app; any separate website or optional computer-only recognition tool should be assessed separately. Changes to the app's data practices require an updated notice.
