Family Meal Wheel by Vamit

Privacy Policy

Family Meal Wheel is a parent-managed family meal-choice, planning and tracking app by Vamit, Belgium. Profiles, allergy and sensory preferences, recipes, diary entries, measurements, plans and preferences are stored locally on the device by default.

Photos and permissions

The Android Photo Picker gives Family Meal Wheel access only to images selected by an adult. The app does not request broad photo-library, camera, microphone, contact or location access. Optional notifications are used for local reminders.

Subscriptions

Google Play processes subscription products, localized prices, purchases, renewal, cancellation and restoration under Google's terms. Family Meal Wheel receives entitlement status but does not receive full payment-card details.

Advertising, sharing and exports

The free version can show restricted, non-personalised Google Mobile Ads only in Parent Mode: an adaptive banner and an occasional, clearly dismissible interstitial at a natural section change. There are no app-open ads and no advertising in Child Mode. Premium removes all advertising. Ad requests are configured as child-directed, age-restricted and G-rated, and advertising ID permission is removed. Google may still process network, device, interaction, diagnostic and anti-fraud signals under its terms. Family Meal Wheel does not send household notes, photos or measurements to Vamit servers. An adult may explicitly export JSON, CSV or PDF through Android's document picker; the selected destination then controls that copy.

Deletion and retention

Data remains until an adult uses Delete all local data in Parent Mode, clears the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalls the app. Android cloud backup is disabled. Deletion removes Family Meal Wheel's local records but does not delete original photos from the photo library.

For a deletion request concerning information deliberately sent to Vamit, email support@vamit.net with “Family Meal Wheel data deletion request” in the subject. Vamit will identify and remove the information covered by the request unless a legal retention duty applies. Family Meal Wheel does not create an online child account.

Children and security

An adult creates profiles, controls purchases and exports, and manages safety settings. Parent PIN verification is protected with Android Keystore; the raw PIN is not stored.
